Cannons which have been gained through spoils of wars, many dating from the 1700’s and 1800’s, can be found in the Cour d’Honneur, known as the Court of Honour in English within the Hotel Les Invalides..

Within Les Invalides you can find the main courtyard, which as in this photo, provides a fantastic viewpoint ahead, showing the statue of Napoleon on the upper level, with the highly decorated dome of the church in the background.
