With recent news of the “bridge of love” having its locks removed, the Pont de l’Archeveche – well known as a secondary love lock bridge – has had a similar discussion surrounding it recently. Will this bridge have the same fate?

After hearing news the EUtouring Team took another look at Pont des Arts and it’s new “love locks”, pictured here with a painted panel where padlocks used to be, which were removed for the integrity and safety of the bridge.

Taken of the love locks on the Pont de l’Archeveche you can find many different and unique ones, with this large heart shaped one catching our eyes with initials inscribed on.

Here you can see some of the locks on the Pont des Arts bridge – which is now the centre of discussion and some parts along the bridge are now replaced with transparent panels to restrict the amount of locks and prevent damage to the bridge.

Taken within the Jardin Tino Rossi you can see one of the amphitheatres which have been utilised by a group of locals, playing music for couples of all ages to dance to beside the River Seine on a lovely day.
